What To Expect
We will begin with a general level ballet barre and a small jump in the centre as the warm-up.
I will also offer a few pointe work exercises for students who bring their pointe shoes.
After that, we are going to study the Odalisque Variation 1 from Le Corsaire. Copy & paste this link to watch:
Variation 1 is complex and I will offer modification for the brisé and capriole moments, the relevé-passé will be great for all levels to work on.
preparing the Odalisque ballet workshop
To participate, you should be able to remember 16 counts of choreography. I will offer modifications for less advanced students and if you cannot jump for one reason or another.
You do not need to wear pointe shoes.
