Workshop #22: Turning & Jumping

Working on two of the most popular subjects of ballet training can only promise to be high energy and fun.
As always with these kinds of Holistic Ballet workshops, we will be working in two groups of different levels, beginner and intermediate/advanced.
We all are going to work on the travelling turns
• tours soutenus
• tours piqués
but at different speeds, combinations, and directions. The more advanced students will also incorporate chaînes.
As for the jumping section, we will study
• sissonnes fermés
• sissonnes ouverte
at the beginner level whilst the more advanced student will practise
• grands jetés en tournant in combination with tours piqués.
A one-hour stretching routine will complete the workshop.
