About The Workshop
This year, I decided to work with you on George Balanchine's Who Cares, the part called 'Sweet and Low Down'.
Watch 2:05 - 3:45 minutes by copy & pasting this link into your browser:

After working a lot on classical 19th Century pieces, it will be great (perhaps refreshing) to experience neoclassical movement and expressions.
The first part of this piece is slow-paced and most of you should be doing well with it whilst the second part is speedy and complex.
We will modify and slow down but it will remain a challenge, but fun nonetheless.

What To Expect
One week of intense rehearsal atmosphere, not unlike a real ballet company's, with like-minded, passionate adult dancers.
The first one or two days tend to feel a bit chaotic but you will be surprised how everyone's confusions transform into more organised forms as the week progresses.
Everyone will be responsible for creating a kind and supportive environment to allow you, the corps de ballet, to work 'as one', in harmony. Each dancer is only as good as the rest of the corps!
You can wear flat or pointe shoes.
What You Will Learn
• first the choreography (the more advanced students helping to lead the beginner level ones)
• then details of the foot, arm, and head movements and positions
• towards the end of the course the artistic expression
Pre-Study
For you to get the most of the intensive, I am providing a pre-study video and the written steps that you can download, to everyone who booked their place.
Once you booked, please email me to get the password.
Both together are the most useful before and during (even after) the course.
